"May qualify" means may qualify

Results show programs you may be eligible for, based on rough estimates from the answers you give. They are not a decision. Only the agency or organization that runs a program can decide whether you qualify and how much you receive.

Information can change

Program rules, income limits, deadlines and funding change often, and programs can close or run out of money. We describe programs in general terms and link to official pages, but we can't guarantee that every detail is complete, accurate or up to date. Always check the official page before you apply or make decisions.

Not legal, tax or financial advice

This site provides general information only. It is not legal, tax, medical or financial advice. For advice about your situation, talk with the agency, a qualified professional, or a free service such as legal aid, VITA tax help or a veteran service officer.

We link to other websites for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Watch out for scams

  • Applying for government benefits is free. Never pay anyone to "unlock" a grant or apply for you.
  • It is illegal to charge veterans a fee to file an initial VA disability claim.
  • Government agencies won't text or call to demand payment or ask for gift cards.

In an emergency

Call 911 for emergencies. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988 (veterans press 1).
